Jose Mourinho has branded Arsene Wenger a “specialist in failure” as the Chelsea manager continued his war of words with the Arsenal boss in the Premier League title race.

Earlier on Friday, the Gunners boss claimed that the top-flight crown was Chelsea’s to lose after the Blues cemented their place at the top of the table following a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.

He’s a specialist in failure. He is eight years without a piece of silverware

However, Mourinho has hit back at Wenger’s claims by saying that he would leave Chelsea for good if he failed to deliver a trophy in eight years.

“He’s a specialist in failure,” Mourinho told a news conference on Friday. “The reality is that he is a specialist. He is eight years without a piece of silverware. If I do that with Chelsea, I leave and I don’t come back.”

The Blues boss added that the only team who can lose the Premier League title is Manchester United, with the Red Devils 15 points adrift of Chelsea.

“The champion is Manchester United, so Manchester United is the title owner,” Mourinho added.

“Until the moment where mathematically they lose the title, the title belongs to Manchester United.

“If Manchester United aren’t champions this season, and we all agree it’s almost impossible able for them to be, Manchester United lose the title.”
