The Blues’ impressive 1-0 win at Manchester City blew the title race wide open, despite Jose Mourinho’s insistence that he is more focused on next season than the current campaign.

Mourinho said: “Two horses and a little horse that still needs milk and to learn how to jump. A horse that next season can race. I don’t agree [with Chelsea’s growing title credentials]. We lost points at home against West Brom, against West Ham, we lost at Stoke, we lost at Newcastle.”

Branislav Ivanovic’s first-half goal at Etihad Stadium was enough to prove that City are not unbeatable at home this season as they slumped to their first league loss of the campaign at Eastlands.

Chelsea are now level on points with Manuel Pellegrini’s men and just two points behind Arsenal, who travel to Liverpool in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Mourinho’s side will be keen to gain revenge for their 2-0 defeat by Newcastle at St James’ Park back in November, when Yoan Gouffran and Loic Remy scored second-half goals to hand the Magpies victory.

The Blues have been in fine form in the league of late, winning seven of their last 10 games in the top flight.

So with the stage set for an intriguing encounter at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, why not book your ticket for the match today?
