Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan believes the Reds can win their first-ever Premier League title this season

Jon Flanagan believes Liverpool are capable of ending their wait to win the Premier League title this season.
The Reds are four points behind current leaders Chelsea after a 3-2 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night.

Liverpool, who were 5-1 winners against second-placed Arsenal last weekend, welcome Chelsea and Manchester City to Anfield in the season’s climax.
And Reds youth graduate Flanagan revealed that the key target is securing a top-four finish before seeing where the Merseyside outfit are with five top-flight games remaining.
“We’ve given ourselves a great platform to work off now,” Flanagan said.
“For a local lad, not having a Premiership title for 18-20 years, it’s in my mind every day. We’re in that position now and it is doable with the games that they’ve got as well.
“All the lads are just looking for the top four and if we’re in and around there with five games to go, maybe.
“We’re just concentrating on trying to get top four, so anything above that would be great for us.
“No-one’s expecting us to go and win that title, so the pressure is less on us than the other big teams around us.”
