Christian Purslow is convinced that Liverpool CAN win the Premier League title this season.

The Reds are currently fourth in the table but just four points behind leaders Chelsea with 12 games left to play this term.

Brendan Rodgers has continually stressed that his side’s target is a top-four finish and played down any talk of the Merseyside club winning the top-flight title.

However, former Liverpool managing director Purslow believes that Rodgers’ side have already showcased their title credentials with crushing wins over Everton and Arsenal in recent weeks.

“I really think they can win the Premier League title,” Purslow told talkSPORT. “Just look at how they blitzed Arsenal and Everton at home.

“If Brendan Rodgers has changed one thing dramatically, it’s that Liverpool have become compelling at home.

“They’re very attacking. We’re a team that goes at the opposition at home. Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea will not look forward to those fixtures.

“The maths is simple. If we win those three games, it’s impossible to dispute Liverpool are in the title race.”
