Ivan Rakitic has insisted that he feels comfortable at Sevilla despite reports of interest from England.

The Croatia international’s sparkling form has been a clear positive during an otherwise mixed season for the La Liga outfit.

The most important thing for me is to feel comfortable

Rakitic, who has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, has scored 10 goals and made five assists in 20 top-flight appearances.

Despite remaining at Sevilla beyond the January transfer window, Rakitic continues to be linked with a potential switch to the Premier League this summer.

But the 25-year-old reiterated that he feels comfortable at Sevilla despite persistent speculation surrounding his future.

“Is it nicer to play in any of those places than Sevilla? Do you think so? They’re teams that you can dream about playing for, but the most important thing for me is to feel comfortable,” Rakitic said.

“What matters most for me is that the club is happy and if I leave this club one day and say to myself, Ivan it’s time for something different, that everyone here is happy with me and we’ll decide that together.”

Rakitic has scored 31 goals and made 32 assists in 124 appearances for Sevilla since moving to the club from Schalke 04 in 2011.
