Manchester United

David De Gea Had two shots to deal with but was helpless to prevent Sidwell scoring. 5

Rafael da Silva Absolute liability now, amazing decline of form, woeful crossing at Old Trafford. 4

Chris Smalling Ex-Fulham man will have much harder days to come; barely a thing to do such was the way the game panned out. 5

Nemanja Vidic Again very little to do but won’t look back on the goal with fondness, could have been punished for the nasty aerial challenge on Holtby. 5

Patrice Evra Like many team-mates seems to have worsened over the last 12 months but was more of a threat going forward than other Man United players. 5

Ashley Young Simply awful performance from the winger who was linked with a January move to the visitors, unsurprisingly taken off midway through the second half. 4

Michael Carrick One of the better performers for the hosts on a poor day but grabbed what could have been a season turning winner with a brilliant strike. 7

Darren Fletcher Not the same player since his return from injury so far, United looked a much better side once the Scot had left the pitch. 5

Juan Mata Some exquisite touches from the Spaniard and his crossing was certainly the better of the two wingers, probably his best United performance thus. 7

Wayne Rooney Arguably at fault for Sidwell’s goal but another tireless performance, great late tackle on Holtby as Fulham pushed for the equaliser. 6

Robin Van Persie Missed a few chances before finding the leveller which really swung the game on 78 minutes. 7

Substitutes

Adnan Januzaj Yet more evidence that the youngster should play more often, David Moyes’ men looked far better with the winger on. 8

Javier Hernandez Pretty useless when the ball is not in the six yard box and barely touched it in his brief cameo. 5

Antonio Valencia Decent 15 minutes from the Ecuador man who had a hand in the equaliser. 7

Fulham

Maarten Stekelenburg Superb performance from the Fulham keeper who kept the Londoners in it until he was finally beaten late on. 8

Sascha Riether An improved performance where he defended well against Young great tackle at 0-0 prevented an almost certain goal from Van Persie. 7

John Heitinga Great debut for the new signing, wont have as much to do as he did for a long time. Will probably retain his place midweek. 7

Dan Burn Another good display from the youngster who dealt with everything United threw at Fulham aerially. 7

John Arne Riise One of his better displays this season but still liable to the odd error. Bizzare chest to Stekelenburg almost cost Fulham.6

Ryan Tunnicliffe Excellent debut against the side he left only a week ago. Three excellent challenges, taken off late on with Fulham still leading.7

William Kvist New man has done well in his two appearances so far but like his team-mates offered next to nothing going forward. 6

Steve Sidwell (Man of the match) Absolutely superb performance from the Fulham captain who brilliantly gave the Cottagers the lead and worked incredibly hard. 9

Lewis Holtby Great player who delivered an exceptional pass for the opener and kept the ball well throughout. 8

Kieran Richardson Put in a great shift on his return to Old Trafford and helped Fulham grab the equaliser but should have made it 2-0 in the first half. 8

Muamer Tankovic Looked out of depth but really was not helped by the way Fulham set up. Taken off at half-time. 5

Substitutes

Darren Bent One chance one goal. Missed some sitters of late but made no mistake to make it 2-2 in the 95th minute. 7

Scott Parker Similarly to Sidwell fights for everything and is exactly the kind of player Fulham need in their dog fight. 7

Larnell Cole Not a lot to do on his debut as he came on very late on with Fulham behind. 6
