Man United transfers: Cristiano Ronaldo will "almost definitely" retire at Real Madrid, according to the Portuguese star's agent

Cristiano Ronaldo will retire at Real Madrid despite reports of a potential return to Manchester United in the summer, according to his agent Jorge Mendes.
The 29-year-old has scored a staggering 233 goals in 228 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos since completing a then world-record £80m move to the Bernabeu from United in 2009.

The Fifa Ballon d’Or winner, who signed a new Madrid deal in July, has regularly been linked with a move to the defending Premier League champions over the past 12 months.
United club-record £37.1m signing Juan Mata opted for the number eight shirt instead of the club’s historic No7 jersey following his switch from Chelsea, prompting suggestions that Ronaldo could be set to return this summer.
However, Ronaldo’s agent Mendes expects the Portugal international to almost certainly end his career at the nine-time European champions.
“He will retire at Madrid, almost definitely,” said Mendes.
Mendes also tipped Ronaldo to break Raul’s club-record 323 Madrid goals before the end of the forward’s career.
“I think so yes. I think he will end up beating all of Real Madrid’s records,” Mendes added.
Mendes added that he expects Gareth Bale to become a “fabulous player” for Los Blancos following his world record £85.3m move last summer.
“He is a fabulous player and he has all the requirements to be a success [at Madrid],” Mendes continued.
