Newcastle 0 Tottenham 4: Spurs were dominant, admits Alan Pardew
Newcastle 0 Tottenham 4: Alan Pardew is critical of his Magpies side after Spurs were emphatic winners at St James' Park
Alan Pardew praised “dominant” Tottenham Hotspur after Spurs gave their top-four hopes a boost with an emphatic win at St James’ Park.
In-form Emmanuel Adebayor broke the deadlock in the 19th minute to give the visitors a perfect start before Paulinho finished from close range after Tim Krul failed to parry the Togo striker’s effort clear after the break.
They won with a bit to spare – that shouldn’t happen at St James’ Park regardless of who I have and don’t have available

Adebayor took his Premier League tally to eight goals this season with eight minutes remaining before Belgium international Nacer Chadli wrapped up three points for the north London side.
“I was more upset about the performance. That wasn’t an honest display from us,” Pardew told BBC Sport.
“I mentioned a few things in the dressing room that I hope hits home – I won’t mention them to the media. Tottenham dominated proceedings from the start to the finish.
“They won with a bit to spare – that shouldn’t happen at St James’ Park regardless of who I have and don’t have available. We lacked confidence tonight.
“We need a break in front of goal. Their keeper made two or three outstanding saves. The overall performance is a concern, it’s not the result or the fact we haven’t scored.”
