Brad Friedel has lifted the lid on life under Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood ahead of their clash against Everton on Sunday.

The former Blackburn Rovers and Spurs midfielder has helped steady the north London side’s season after replacing Andre Villas-Boas in December.

Tottenham have collected 17 points from a possible 24 in eight Premier League games under Sherwood, reigniting their bid to finish in the top four.

And veteran Spurs goalkeeper Friedel feels Sherwood, who has signed a deal until 2015, has settled into his new role swiftly thanks to his previous knowledge of the squad.

“Like [Sherwood] said when he first got appointed, there wasn’t this big settling in period for him because he’s been at Tottenham for so many years and he knows the players,” Friedel told talkSPORT.

“We’ve had a lot of time on the training ground with him so a lot of the players who didn’t know him now know his demeanour and what he wants.

“We’ve had a lot of very good training sessions to understand his style of football and what he wants to implement. So it’s all good so far.”
