Arjen Robben has dismissed Manchester United’s chances of beating Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals, insisting that the holders have “no fear” of David Moyes’ side.

The Red Devils host the Bundesliga champions in the first leg of their last-eight tie next week as the German outfit look to become the first team to retain the title.

The chances of winning more trophies in the next few years are huge

But Netherlands international Robben, who helped Bayern knock Arsenal out in the last 16, is convinced that Pep Guardiola’s men will see off United’s challenge.

“Bayern have no fear of United at all,” Robben told the Sunday Mirror.

“Take our game against Schalke the other week. We played in such a high tempo, that we were 4-0 up within 30 minutes. We don’t let our opponents come up for air. That is the Bayern of Pep Guardiola.

“Guardiola has turned us into the most dominant team in Europe. We have made another giant step as a team this season.

“The chances of winning more trophies in the next few years are huge.”
