Jack Wilshere has played down the severity of a knock which the Arsenal midfielder picked up in England’s 1-0 victory over Denmark on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old was caught by Denmark captain and Liverpool centre-half Daniel Agger in the first half of the friendly at Wembley.

However, injury-prone Wilshere wasn’t removed by Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson until midway through the second half.
“I’m fine. It’s a bit sore but it’s only a bruise. I’ve had a scan already and it showed just a bruise, so I’ll be alright,” Wilshere said.
Wilshere defended England’s gritty performance after Daniel Sturridge scored a 82nd-minute winner to help the Three Lions edge past the Danes.
“I think it went well. It was tough in the first half, we kept trying and they defended well. We created some chances and their keeper was really good tonight as well,” Wilshere said.
“We kept going and got the goal in the end. When it comes to the World Cup, those crucial goals at the end are going to make a big difference.”
