Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla are close to extending their Arsenal contracts.
Ramsey, who was one of the Gunners standout performers this season before suffering a thigh injury on Boxing Day, is due to be made the club’s second-highest earner behind Mesut Ozil with a new £100,000-a-week deal.

And Spain international Cazorla, whose current deal is due to expire in 2016, is also set to be rewarded with a new contract.
Now, the Arsenal boss has revealed that the duo are close to committing their long-term futures to the club.
When asked about new deals for Ramsey and Cazorla, Wenger replied: “No news yet. We are very close. We will announce when we are over the line.”
Meanwhile, Wenger, whose side take on Everton in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday, insisted that the Gunners are ready to end their long wait for a trophy.
“What is different this year is that we are in a better position to win trophies. We are ready for the battle,” said Wenger.
“The FA Cup is one of the priorities, it’s very important to come back with a strong response.”
