Aston Villa 1 Chelsea 0: Paul Lambert reflects on an "outstanding" win as Villains down nine-man Blues
Paul Lambert reflected on an “outstanding” win after his Aston Villa side stunned league leaders Chelsea.
Chelsea were reduced to 10 men when Willian was shown a second yellow card, before Fabian Delph flicked in Marc Albrighton’s cross to put his team in front in the 82nd minute.
It was an extraordinary performance

Ramires was then shown a straight red card for a bad foul on Karim El Ahmadi as Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands.
And Lambert was delighted with his side’s all-round display as they moved up to 10th place in the Premier League table and dented Chelsea’s title hopes.
“I thought the goal was world-class, the whole move,” said Lambert. “I’ve been here nearly two seasons now and we’ve had some big moments, but that’s probably the best one that we’ve had.
“I know the home form has not been the greatest, but the actual performance today I thought was outstanding.
“The Ramires tackle was a shocker. The first one was debatable.
“The first red card didn’t change the game at all. We were playing against a team that are fighting to win the Premier League this year and it was an extraordinary performance.”
