Daniel Sturridge: Liverpool’s Luis Suárez complements my game
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge feels his game complements that of strike partner Luis Suárez
Daniel Sturridge believes “exceptional” Luis Suarez complements the Liverpool striker’s game after their heroics at Cardiff City.
The Uruguayan scored his sixth Premier League hat-trick, with Sturridge creating the 27-year-old’s second strike in Wales.

The former Chelsea man got on the score sheet in the second half as he netted his 19th goal of the season in the Premier League.
“He’s exceptional. I feel we complement each other’s game. He’s different to me, the way he plays. I like to run in behind a lot more but he likes to come short and dribble,” Sturridge told Robbie Fowler in an interview on Liverpool’s website.
“We both love to win, we both love to score, we’re both happy to be part of what Liverpool want to do.”
Sturridge, who has spent spells at Manchester City and Chelsea, promised there is more to come from him after an impressive first 14 months at Liverpool.
“I certainly don’t feel like it was the last chance because I’m 24 and I’m still young. I’ve still got a lot of time,” Sturridge added.
“Every day on the training field and in the gym, mentally in every way, I want to keep improving to be as good as I can be.
“It’s important to me that I fulfil the talent that I had as a kid.”
