Jack Wilshere hasn’t improved since he was 17, claims Paul Scholes
Paul Scholes hits out at Jack Wilshere by claiming that the Arsenal midfielder has not improved since he was 17

Paul Scholes has launched a scathing attack on Jack Wilshere’s development at Arsenal by claiming that the midfielder has not improved since he was 17 years old.
Wilshere has made 23 Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season, scoring three goals and making four assists, but is currently sidelined with a foot injury.

And Scholes claimed that the England international has failed to improve since bursting onto the scene as a youngster.
“Jack Wilshere, he came on the scene and what a really top young player he looked but he’s never really gone on,” Scholes told Sky Sports.
“Injuries haven’t helped him, no, but his development from being 17 years of age… he doesn’t look any better a player now than he did when he was 17.”
The former Manchester United midfielder also blasted Arsenal for a lack of leadership after Saturday’s 6-0 thrashing at Chelsea was compounded by a 2-2 home draw against Swansea City.
“They capitulated at Chelsea and it seems to be a similar theme that happens when they play the top teams. For one reason or another players go missing,” Scholes added.
“The players like Mikel Arteta, Santi Cazorla, Tomas Rosicky and Mesut Özil, it seems like they go on the pitch with no discipline.
“There are no leaders like Patrick Vieira, Tony Adams or Martin Keown. When these players go 2-0 down they just carry on what they are doing they have a walk up front, lose the ball, play a nice little one-two and not even bother running back.”
