Jose Mourinho insists that Arsenal are still in with a chance of winning the Premier League this season – despite dropping to fourth place.

The Gunners, who are six points behind Mourinho’s Chelsea, have the chance to salvage their fading title hopes when they host Manchester City at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

They are a few points behind the other three teams but it’s obviously possible

And Mourinho is convinced that the north London side are still in the running to win their first top-flight crown since 2004.

“Mathematically it’s open for them,” said Mourinho, whose Chelsea side travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

“It’s more difficult because they are a few points behind the other three teams but it’s obviously possible.”

The Chelsea boss went on to stress his belief that Manchester City have a significant advantage in the title race after having crashed out of Europe.

“We have to play in the Champions League, we have no time to prepare matches like they have,” he continued.

“I think it’s a big advantage, an advantage that City have just now and an advantage that Liverpool have had since the beginning of the season.”
