Jordan Henderson has urged Liverpool to keep their feet on the ground amid growing talk of a Premier League title bid.

The Reds leapfrogged Arsenal and moved into second place after a 3-0 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s on Saturday.

We’ve got quality players here, who are working very well

And Henderson admitted Brendan Rodgers’s squad are “very confident” after collecting 17 points from their last seven games.

“We just have to keep our feet on the ground,” Henderson said.

“We’re very confident but we have to take each game at it comes. We’ve got quality players here, who are working very well.”

Mignolet warned Liverpool not to look too far ahead in the Premier League title race with their next game at Old Trafford.

“We just have to take every game as it comes; we have said that from the beginning,” Mignolet added.

“We’ve got the international break now – after that, we have to make sure we prepare ourselves for the next game and not look too far ahead of us.

“Today we did our job and we have to do that next time again. Most of the lads have international games, so I’m sure everybody will stay focused throughout that period.”
