Pepe Reina believes Liverpool have easier fixtures than their Premier League rivals in the title run-in.

The Reds underlined their credentials as genuine contenders for the top-flight crown with a 3-0 victory over defending champions Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The fixtures are also a little bit easier for them than the other teams

Liverpool take on five Premier League sides in the bottom half of the table in their remaining nine fixtures, while the Reds also face Chelsea and Manchester City at Anfield in April.

And Reina, who is currently on a season-long loan at Napoli, reckons the Reds do have a kinder run of fixtures as they bid to end their 24-year wait to win the top-flight crown.

“People now believe they can win the Premier League title,” Reina told talkSPORT.

“The demonstration of football against Man United was the best signal so far they can win the league.

“The fixtures are also a little bit easier for them than the other teams. Winning 3-0 at Old Trafford, even against a struggling Man United side, is never easy.”
