Carl Jenkinson believes Manchester City’s squad is no better than Arsenal’s ahead of their Emirates clash on Saturday.

The Citizens are currently favourites to win the Premier League title, with Manuel Pellegrini’s men three points behind Chelsea having played two games less than the leaders.

We’ve got some fantastic players. We’ve had a bad run and a couple of bad results but that doesn’t change anything

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger’s men, who are currently fourth in the table, trail City by three points and have already lost 6-3 at Etihad Stadium earlier in the Premier League campaign.

But Arsenal defender Jenkinson is bullish in his assessment of the Citizens squad and the player at Wenger’s disposal as the Gunners bid to kick-start their title bid after a two-game winless run.

“They’re fantastic players, what else can I say,” Jenkinson told talkSPORT. “There has been a lot of talk about their team, but what about looking at our team?

“We’ve got some fantastic players. We’ve had a bad run and a couple of bad results but that doesn’t change anything.

“When we play our best football and to the best of our ability we can beat anyone.

“Of course Man City have an abundance of great players but no better than us.”
