Man United transfers: Edinson Cavani says he "just wants to play" amid reports linking him with move to Old Trafford

Edinson Cavani insists that he “just wants to play” amid reports linking the Paris Saint-Germain forward with a big-money move to Manchester United.
The 27-year-old has been limited to 18 Ligue 1 starts for PSG this season after moving to the French capital from Napoli last summer.

Manchester United have been linked with an £80m swoop for the Uruguay international as the Red Devils look to bolster their attacking line-up ahead of next season.
And Cavani, who has scored 14 goals and made one assist in the French top flight this season, is keen to play as much as possible between now and this summer’s World Cup.
“The results until now are proving that everything’s going well, even if I’m not playing in the same position that I had at Napoli,” Cavani told beIN Sport.
“Anyway, the most important thing for me is to play. I always have the desire to score.
“Although I want to help the squad in the defensive phase, scoring a goal remains something incomparable.”
