Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey praises the impact of club-record signing Mesut Özil at the Gunners
Aaron Ramsey believes Mesut Ozil has settled “really well” at Arsenal.
The Germany international joined the Gunners in a club-record £42.5m deal from Real Madrid on the final day of the summer transfer window in September.
He’s a really grounded guy and one who wants to help the team, so that’s helped him in his progression so far
Ozil made an impressive start to his Gunners career, making four assists and scoring four goals in his first eight games in all competitions.
The 25-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, has been criticised in recent months after suffering a dip in form.
However, Ramsey, who signed a new deal with the north London side on Tuesday, heaped praise on Ozil.
“He has a few assists and a few goals, so he’s settled in really well,” Ramsey told Uefa’s website.
“It’s not always easy moving to the Premier League, with the pace [of] the game over here.
“He’s a really grounded guy and one who wants to help the team, so that’s helped him in his progression so far.”
