Mikel Arteta ’embarrassed’ by Arsenal’s 6-0 loss to Chelsea
Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta admits the Gunners players are hurting after their 6-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday

Mikel Arteta has admitted that he was embarrassed by Arsenal’s 6-0 loss to title rivals Chelsea on Saturday.
The Gunners were left trailing the Blues 4-0 by half-time at Stamford Bridge before Jose Mourinho’s men polished off the win with two second-half strikes in west London.

Arsenal, who drop to fourth in the table following the humiliating result, have already suffered a 6-3 loss to Manchester City and a 5-1 defeat at Liverpool this season.
And Arsenal captain Arteta vowed the north London side would bounce back against Swansea City at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
“It hurts deeply inside,” Arteta told Arsenal’s website.
“It’s embarrassing to be on a football pitch in that situation.
“Psychologically it’s really hard and when you go through that you analyse it and you know you don’t want to be in that situation again.
“I promise everyone that we have that hunger to put it right. On Tuesday we have an opportunity again at home and we just need to bounce back.”
Arteta refused to rule Arsenal out of the Premier League title race despite falling seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
“This can change at any moment,” Arteta added.
“There are two midweek games again and it can change quickly around. We just need to be there again because if there’s any possibilities we have to be able to take it.
“Let’s try again, it’s been a difficult day but we need to stay together again and battle because what we can still get is very good.”
