Simon Mignolet: Liverpool ready for ‘big challenge’ at Man United
Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet wants the Reds to keep it tight at the back and allow SAS to punish Manchester United

Simon Mignolet believes Liverpool can overcome the challenge of beating Manchester United if the Reds are defensively sound at Old Trafford.
Brendan Rodgers’s side are bidding to secure their first win at the Theatre of Dreams since a memorable 4-1 victory in March 2009.
Liverpool are the Premier League’s top goal-scorers with 73 strikes, but the Reds have conceded more goals than any of their top-four rivals.
If we can keep it tight at the back we know we will score goals

And Mignolet feels the key to victory at Old Trafford will be Liverpool’s ability to keep Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie quiet.
“I was pleased with that save at Southampton as it was important for the team,” Mignolet told the ECHO.
“That’s my job and I am there to do those kind of things.
“Now the game against United is the most important one now. I need to try to maintain that level and hopefully we can get a good result.
“As a keeper you can’t let the atmosphere affect you. You have to be focused on your game and doing your job on the pitch.
“When you go away to United you know you are always going to be up against a good team. It’s going to be a big challenge for us.
“They have some dangerous players like Rooney and Van Persie but we know we also have a lot of quality in our squad. If we can keep it tight at the back we know we will score goals.”
