If everything goes well, we’re capable of hurting Barcelona

But captain Kompany is feeling optimistic about the Premier League side’s hopes of securing what would be a surprise win.
“It’s in our own hands and that’s the good thing, so I guess the message to everyone is that we have to believe,” Kompany said.
“I’m actually very excited about this one. I think the whole team is.
“If everything goes well, we’re capable of hurting Barcelona, so that’s what I want to focus on.
“I like to focus on my strikers because I know that if they score we have a chance, but everyone needs to be at their best.”
Barcelona v Man City: Pre-match facts
• This is City’s first competitive visit to the Camp Nou but midfielder Yaya Toure, who joined from Barcelona in 2010, and director of football Txiki Begiristain, another Barcelona old boy, will feel at home.
• City won 1-0 at Barcelona in a pre-season friendly in August 2009, Martin Petrov the scorer. Toure was playing for Barcelona while Pablo Zabaleta is City’s only survivor.
• City are in the last 16 for the first time but in Manuel Pellegrini have a man who guided both Villarreal (2006, 2009) and Málaga (2012) to the quarter-finals.
• City’s record in Spain is W1 D1 L3. Last season they led 2-1 at Real Madrid with three minutes to play but ended up losing 3-2.
