Wenger at a loss to explain Arsenal’s 6-0 thrashing at Chelsea
Arsene Wenger admits that he has struggled to identify the reasons for Arsenal's 6-0 thrashing at Chelsea

Arsene Wenger admits that he is at a loss to pinpoint the reasons for Arsenal’s humiliating 6-0 defeat by Chelsea on Saturday.
The Gunners were torn apart by Jose Mourinho’s men at Stamford Bridge and found themselves 4-0 down at half-time before conceding another two goals after the break to cap a miserable afternoon for Wenger’s side.
At the moment there’s no rational explanation other than the quality of our opponents

The north Londoners had already been beaten 5-1 by Liverpool and 6-3 by Manchester City this season before Saturday’s thrashing.
And Wenger feels that the loss in west London beared certain similarities to the defeat at Anfield last month.
Asked about comparisons with the Liverpool and Man City games, Wenger said: “No, not Man City, I believe Man City was different. Liverpool, yes.
“The common thing was that it was a 12:45 game and twice we were caught at the start of the game.
“We think about that and at the moment there’s no rational explanation other than the quality of our opponents and that we were caught at the start of the game. Why? We don’t really know.”
Wenger, whose side will look to bounce back when they host Swansea City at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night, continued: “It looked like we missed the start of our game and were caught on the counter attack.
“We had a desire to play and to go. We were caught on the break. After that of course the game became very long because down to ten men, down to 3-0 it became of course an impossible task.”
