Tomas Rosicky will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, Arsene Wenger has confirmed.

The Czech Republic international, whose stunning early goal handed the Gunners a 1-0 victory at Tottenham last weekend, has picked up an ankle problem and will be assessed ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Wenger also confirmed that the Gunners have no fresh injury concerns ahead of their trip across London to face the Blues.

“We have a doubt over Rosicky, he will have a test today. Everyone else should be available,” Wenger said.

The Frenchman is gearing up for his 1000th game in charge of the Gunners, and the 64-year-old admits that it is “an honour” to have been at the club for so long.

“It’s a privilege and an honour to manage 1,000 games at this club,” he said. “The club has always supported me. Time will tell if I managed to make this club bigger than it was when I arrived, but I hope so.

“This club has given me a chance and I’ve turned many things down and shown my loyalty. On Saturday I represent my club, I don’t represent myself and I keep my personal feelings away from that.”
