Arsenal transfers: Gunners given Antoine Griezmann boost

Arsenal transfers: Antoine Griezmann insists that he has not been in contact with PSG over a possible move

Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Antoine Griezmann after he once again denied speculation that he has been in contact with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners are among the top European clubs to have been linked with a move for the Real Sociedad winger in recent weeks.

Reports earlier this year had claimed that PSG had verbally agreed to pay up to £25m to sign the 23-year-old in the summer.

However, the midfielder has insisted that he has not heard from the French club – and hinted that he may consider his future in the summer.

“Interest of PSG in me? I do not know anything nor have I had any contact,” Griezmann told Canal Plus.

“I want to finish the season well at Real Sociedad and play in Europe next season.

“We always like when big clubs are interested in you, but we’ll see what can happen. I do not have any preferences.”

Griezmann has scored 16 goals and made three assists in 32 La Liga appearances so far this season.
