Arsenal transfers: Gunners warned off fresh Julian Draxler bid
Arsenal transfers: Schalke insist that they expect Julian Draxler to remain at the club beyond the summer

Julian Draxler is likely to stay at Schalke for another season despite interest from Arsenal, according to the Bundesliga club’s chairman.
The Gunners were heavily linked with a big-money swoop to sign the playmaker during the January transfer window, but a move failed to materialise.
If nothing extraordinary happens, Julian will stay with us

Arsenal are reported to be weighing up a fresh bid for the 20-year-old in the summer as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his attacking options.
But Schalke chairman Clemens Torries insisted that the club are expecting to keep hold of the player over the summer.
“If nothing extraordinary happens, Julian will stay with us,” Torries told Bild.
“I am convinced that he will play even longer than this one next season at Schalke. Then we will see.”
Speaking back in February, the player himself refused to be drawn on the speculation surrounding his future.
“I’d prefer not to comment on all those rumours,” said Draxler.
“Look at what happened with Manuel Neuer. He was 100 per cent convinced that he would never join FC Bayern but, after having played as a pro for five years, time made him change his opinion.”
