Arsenal transfers: Morgan Schneiderlin won’t ‘force move’
Arsenal transfers: Southampton defender Morgan Schneiderlin insists he will never force through a move away from Saints
Morgan Schneiderlin insists he will never force Southampton to sell him amid reported interest from Arsenal.
The France defender has been one of the many shining lights in the Saints’s season, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men comfortably residing in eighth place in the Premier League table.
The 24-year-old defender, who moved to St Mary’s from Starsbourg in 2008, has even managed to score two goals and make an assist in 31 Premier League appearances.
Schneiderlin is aware of interest from a host of top clubs, with Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly weighing up moves for the centre-half.
However, the former France Under-21 international is adamant that he will never force Southampton’s hand in the summer transfer window.
“We know top teams are watching us,” Schneiderlin is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
“As long as we don’t receive a concrete offer, and as long as the club says they won’t sell, I will never force a transfer.”
Schneiderlin has scored 10 goals in 225 appearances for the Saints.
