Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wary of Everton threat
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain warns Arsenal to expect a tough test when they travel to Everton on Sunday
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has warned his Arsenal team-mates that they will face a stern test of their top-four credentials when they travel to Everton on Sunday.
The Toffees are just four points behind the north London side heading into the Goodison Park clash, and have played a game less than the Gunners.
We know what to expect, and it is going to be a hard game for us
Roberto Martinez’s side earned a 1-1 Premier League draw at Emirates Stadium earlier in the season, before the 4-1 FA Cup quarter-final win in north London.
But midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain needs no reminding of the test that awaits Arsene Wenger’s men.
“Everton have got great players, and great attacking players especially so they are a real threat going forward,” Oxlade-Chamberlain told Arsenal Player.
“Even their defensive players are a threat going forward, and both their full backs have massive attacking potential.
“We have played them twice this year, so we know what to expect, and it is going to be a hard game for us.
“Goodison Park is always a really hard place to to go to, but in the recent years since I’ve been at the club we’ve always done alright there so hopefully we can do the same again this time.”
