Arsene Wenger believes that there are plenty more twists and turns to come in the Premier League title race this season.

Liverpool took a big step towards winning the top-flight crown on Sunday with a 3-2 win over Manchester City at Anfield to keep them top of the table with four games left to play.

But with Chelsea and Manchester City still very much in the hunt, Wenger insists that the destination of the title is still “unpredictable”.

“I don’t any more than you about that,” said Wenger. “Liverpool had an important win yesterday…

“I believe that the experience that we have of the Premier League this seasons shows you that it’s really unpredictable for everybody.”

Wenger also revealed how relieved he was that Arsenal managed to get through to the FA Cup final with a penalty shootout victory over Wigan on Saturday.

He added: “It was telling of the pressure we were under. Wigan were the holders and we were 1-0 down so everyone is now happy.

“Anything different would have been negative. We can now focus on the Premier League. It’s a big job. We have put a lot of effort in the Premier League.”
