Gabi believes Atletico Madrid have more desire than Chelsea ahead of the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Los Rojiblancos are currently four points clear at the top of La Liga after a 2-0 victory over Elche on Friday night.

The Blues warmed up for the last-four clash with a shock 2-1 loss to 20th-placed Sunderland at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

And Manchester United target Gabi called on Diego Simeone’s men to make the most of their superior desire at Vicente Calderon.

“I don’t know about ability but we certainly have more desire and we have to try and exploit that,” Gabi said.

“We have to take advantage of playing the first game at home, as it can prove decisive ahead of playing the return leg.

“On Tuesday we can take a huge step towards the final – but we must produce on the pitch.”
