Cardiff 0 Crystal Palace 3: Tony Pulis refuses to admit that the Eagles are already safe from relegation after impressive win
Tony Pulis refused to admit that Crystal Palace are already safe from Premier League relegation after a comfortable win at Cardiff lifted them up to 14th in the table.
Jason Puncheon’s low drive in the 31st minute gave the Eagles a deserved lead, before Joe Ledley made it 2-0 in the 71st minute.
The season is not over and the biggest problem is complacency
And Puncheon then wrapped up the victory with a superb curling shot two minutes from full-time.
But despite the impressive manner of the win, Pulis insisted that the London club must keep their foot on the pedal.
“We have a lot of work to do,” said Pulis. “Some results have brought the pack together and we have got to keep focused, but it was a fantastic performance from the players.
“The season is not over and the biggest problem is complacency and people taking their foot off of the pedal.”
On two-goal hero Jason Puncheon, Pulis added: “He is a good player with lots of ability.
“He did a couple of sloppy things in the early part of the game and I went berserk on the touchline – but he was too far away for him to hear me.”
