Daniel Sturridge is hopeful that he’ll be ready to feature in Liverpool’s crunch Premier League showdown with Chelsea on Sunday.
The England international has not featured for the Reds since picking up a hamstring strain in the 3-2 win over Manchester City earlier this month.
I’m not too sure if he [Rodgers] will play me or not

Brendan Rodgers said he was hopeful that the 24-year-old striker could return to action for the clash against Jose Mourinho’s side after tests revealed that the injury was “not serious”.
And the forward, who has scored 20 Premier League goals for the Merseyside club so far this season, could be set to play some part against the Blues at Anfield.
“Hopefully this weekend I’ll be back,” Sturridge said in a question-and-answer session with children on Wednesday.
“I’m not too sure if he [Rodgers] will play me or not. We’ll have to see.”
Sturridge also insisted that he would show respect for his former club by not celebrating should he score against Mourinho’s side.
“I would like to show respect to my former club but if I were to come on and score in the last minute I’m going to be on a mad one, aren’t I?,” he said. “I don’t know if I could control myself.”
