David Luiz has urged Chelsea to believe that they can win the Premier League title this season.

Jose Mourinho’s men are currently third favourites to lift the top-flight crown after a run of two successive away defeats in the Premier League.

We need to have faith because we can still do it

Chelsea, who are in second place and two points behind leaders Liverpool, face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in Sunday’s late kick-off.

And Luiz called on the Blues to rekindle their belief from their comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League mid-week.

“It’s still possible to win the league, so come on, let’s enjoy the position we are in and believe, like we did against Paris St Germain,” Luiz told Chelsea’s website. “We need to have faith because we can still do it.

“Mathematically it’s still possible but every game in the Premier League is difficult, as it will be on Sunday.

“Swansea are tough opponents and we’ve seen in the last few seasons, every time we go there it’s a difficult game.

“We need to try to do our best and win the match.”
