And Hazard, who is currently sidelined with a calf problem, was thrilled to see the Blues keep their title hopes alive with victory on Merseyside.
Hazard told Chelsea’s website: “Yesterday’s result at Liverpool was fantastic because it’s not easy to win at Anfield, especially this season, and if we can win on Wednesday [against Atletico Madrid] it will be great for the fans and for us.”
The Belgian playmaker also paid tribute to his team-mates after he won the PFA young player of the year award on Sunday.
“It’s brilliant for me,” he continued. “It’s been a good season so far and now I hope we can win one or two trophies before it finishes.
“I was nominated with five young players, but very big players, so to win the award ahead of them is great, and I will try to do even better next season.
“My team-mates have helped me to succeed on the pitch and hopefully against Atletico Madrid we can continue with the way the week has started.”
