The Belgium playmaker has been one of the Blues’ standout performers this season, scoring 14 goals and making seven assists in 33 Premier League appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side.
I must say thank you to all my Chelsea team-mates, the staff and the fans
Hazard, 23, won the award ahead of Daniel Sturridge, Luke Shaw, Ross Barkely, Aaron Ramsey and Raheem Sterling.
And the midfielder, who is currently sidelined with a calf injury, paid tribute to the Chelsea faithful after receiving the accolade.
“It’s always good to win awards because it means you’ve had a good season, but I prefer to win things collectively and I must say thank you to all my Chelsea team-mates, the staff and the fans.”
Elsewhere, Liverpool’s Luis Suarez won the PFA player of the year award.
