Frank de Boer has fuelled speculation linking him with the Tottenham Hotspur job this summer by revealing that he is prepared to listen to offers from the north London club.

The Ajax manager has been touted as one of the possible candidates to take over at White Hart Lane this summer should Spurs opt to show Tim Sherwood the exit door ahead of next season.

I want to add something to a club, so that people can see that this was the work of Frank de Boer

Mauricio Pochettino and Louis van Gaal are among the other names to have been linked with a move to Spurs.

And De Boer has underlined his desire to be given the chance to prove himself at a club of Tottenham’s stature in the seasons to come.

“I want to add something to a club, build something. I won’t be talking to other clubs until after 3 May,” De Boer told NOS.

“After the last match on 3 May I will think about this possibility. I will have talks and will listen to their offer. After that I will decide on how I feel.”

The 43-year-old continued: “I see a perspective at Tottenham Hotspur, just as Liverpool and Newcastle United sometimes are, they are sleeping giants.

“I want to add something to a club, so that people can see that this was the work of Frank de Boer. Liverpool is a great example of that. What Brendan Rodgers is doing now.”
