Fulham 1 Norwich 0: Felix Magath unsatisfied despite vital win
Fulham 1 Norwich 0: Felix Magath is happy to collect three points but is critical of his side's performance
Felix Magath singled out David Stockdale for praise after Fulham’s “unsatisfactory” victory over Norwich.
The Canaries, who sacked manager Chris Hughton and appointed youth coach Neil Adams until the end of the season last week, had the better of the chances at Craven Cottage.
Nathan Redmond, Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Leroy Fer were all denied by Stockdale, whilst Scotland international Robert Snodgrass hit the woodwork.
Lewis Holtby came close to breaking the deadlock before Hugo Rodallega finished from close range to score what would prove to be the winner with 40 minutes remaining.
“I am happy with the win but today I am not so satisfied. We have to respect Norwich were the better team but we had a very good goalkeeper who saved us from defeat,” Magath told BBC Sport.
Fulham’s win helps them close the gap on 17th-placed Norwich City to two points, with the Canaries facing Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal in their remaining four games.
