Jame Carragher: Chelsea win gives Liverpool an advantage
Jamie Carragher believes that Chelsea's Champions League win over PSG could boost Liverpool's title hopes

Jamie Carragher believes that Chelsea’s Champions League triumph over Paris Saint-Germain could give Liverpool an advantage in the Premier League title race.
The Blues booked their place in the semi-finals of Europe’s elite club competition thanks to a 2-0 win over the Ligue 1 champions at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Jose Mourinho’s men will now face a last-four showdown with either Bayern Munich, Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid – but must travel to Anfield in between the two-legged clash.
And former Liverpool defender Carragher feels that Chelsea’s continued participation in Europe could give Brendan Rodgers’ side a boost.
“It’s a slight advantage for Liverpool, as they play Chelsea in between the two Champions League games,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“They could pick up an injury, and may go to Anfield after of a Champions League away game. I don’t think it harms Liverpool’s chances at all.”
Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League table, two points clear of Chelsea.
