Laurent Koscielny has warned Everton that Arsenal are ready to capitalise on any slip-ups in the race for a top-four finish.

The Gunners moved back into fourth place thanks to a 3-1 win against West Ham but the Toffees can climb back above the north London side with victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

And Arsenal defender Koscielny is determined to help Arsene Wenger’s side win their remaining four games, with Everton still to face both Manchester clubs at Goodison Park.

“Now we will just focus on our four games and see where we finish at the end of the season,” said Koscielny.

“We know Everton play against big teams. We know that Everton are playing well but we will see.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen insisted that there is still plenty to play for this season, despite the Gunners’ title bid coming to a shuddering halt in recent weeks.

“Every game has to be won now, this was one of them and I’m happy we did the job,” said Vermaelen after the win over West Ham. “Sunday [at Hull] is another one we need to win as well.

“It’s understandable that there is some criticism because everybody looks at the results which weren’t great for us, but we know there is still a lot to play for.

“We’re still in the FA Cup and there are still important games coming up to reach the Champions League.”
