Liverpool deliver latest Daniel Sturridge injury update
Liverpool say they'll give Daniel Sturridge "every opportunity" to prove his fitness ahead of Norwich City trip on Sunday

Daniel Sturridge will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of Sunday’s trip to Norwich City, Liverpool have confirmed.
The Reds striker had to be replaced by Joe Allen in the second half of Liverpool’s 3-2 victory over Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.
Sturridge, who has failed to hit the back of the net in his last three games, has scored 20 goals in 26 Premier League games this season.
A Liverpool statement read: “Liverpool have confirmed they’ll give Daniel Sturridge every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of Sunday’s Barclays Premier League clash with Norwich City.
“The striker had to be withdrawn in the 66th minute of last weekend’s 3-2 win over Manchester City.
“Sturridge has since underwent further assessment with the club’s medical team at Melwood and a small strain was detected following a scan.
“The 24-year-old will now undergo a treatment programme in order to try and be available for the trip to Carrow Road.”
Liverpool, who are two points clear of Jose Mourinho’s side at the top of the table face Norwich, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United in their final four Premier League games.
