Liverpool have one big mountain to climb in title race, says Everton legend

Former Everton star Graham Stuart says Liverpool will deserve the title after playing incredible football during a 11-game run

Liverpool have one big mountain left to climb in the Premier League title race, according to Graham Stuart.

The Reds moved five points clear of second-placed Chelsea after a 3-2 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday.

Manchester City have the chance to move to within three points of the Reds and into second place following Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to Sunderland.

And former Everton midfielder Stewart feels Liverpool are facing a decisive game in their bid to win the title against Chelsea at Anfield next weekend.

“Sometimes you’ve got to hold your hand up and take your hat off to Liverpool. They are playing some exceptional football. To win 11 games on the spin is incredible,” Stewart told Sky Sports.

“If they win, they’re going to deserve it. They’ve got one big mountain to climb and that’s Chelsea going to Anfield. If they can get through that, they’ll win it.”

Arsenal legend David Seaman also lavished praise on Brendan Rodgers’s free-scoring side.

“You can’t get away from the way their playing; it’s so dangerous, it’s so fast. It is always one touch passing and decisive on the edge of the box,” Seaman added.
