The uncapped Spaniard has been on the fringes of the Liverpool squad in the second half of the season, making a handful of substitute appearances in February and March.
Aspas moved to Liverpool in a £6.7m deal from Celta Vigo in July after scoring a respectable 12 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish side last season.
The 26-year-old scored his only Liverpool strike in a 2-0 victory over Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup in January, but he has only made four further appearances this term.
Aspas had been linked with a move away from Liverpool in recent weeks, however, the striker’s agent Rodriguez Baster ruled out a transfer at the end of the season.
“There is no possibility of a return to Spain for Iago, or for a move elsewhere,” Baster told Astralfootball.com.
“Iago has a four-year contract with Liverpool and he is happy to be at the Reds, aside from the fact that he would certainly like to play more.
“But, Brendan Rodgers is happy with him and they are not thinking about a transfer.”
