Luis Suarez admits that Liverpool have been surprising themselves with how well they have played this season.
The Reds are closing in on their first league title for 24 years, with Brendan Rodgers’ side currently five points clear at the top of the table ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Anfield on Sunday.
The truth is that we are surprised ourselves at how well we’re playing

And Suarez, whose 30 Premier League goals have helped the Merseyside outfit’s surge up the table, concedes that few would have expected the Reds to challenge for the title this term.
“It [winning the title] would be something that no one would believe,” Suarez told Perform.
“Because we have good players but if you look at the complete roster, we don’t have [players] to be up there.
“The truth is that we are surprised ourselves at how well we’re playing.
“We have good players who are demonstrating why they are in Liverpool and it would be something amazing even to England because of the investment made by Chelsea, [Manchester] City and Arsenal.
“Even Tottenham have spent over £100m and we, with so little investment, are in that position. It would be incredible.”
