Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski takes to his Instagram account to hail the return of club-record signing Mesut Ozil to training
Lukas Podolski says he is “glad” to have club-record signing Mesut Ozil back in the Arsenal squad.
The Germany international has returned to first-team training this week after the midfielder had to endure spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The 25-year-old has scored four goals and made eight assists in 22 Premier League appearances this season after moving to Arsenal in a £42.5m deal from Real Madrid last summer.
And Podolski took to his Instagram account to reveal his delight at his compatriot’s return to training after missing the past month since a 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich.
Podolski said: “Glad to have Mesut back in the squad. Important match tomorrow….. #afc #training #premierleague #team#mesut #comeback #london #poldi #aha #redarmy#gunners #coyg”
