Man City 3 West Brom 1: Title race exactly the same, says Pellegrini
Man City 3 West Brom 1: Manuel Pellegrini says nothing has changed in title race after Citizens win one of their games in hand
Manuel Pellegrini believes nothing has changed in the title race after Manchester City edged past West Bromwich Albion to move within six points of leaders Liverpool.
The Citizens made a bright start at Etihad Stadium after City’s Argentine duo Pablo Zabaleta and Sergio Aguero put the third-placed side in control inside 10 minutes.
It’s exactly the same but we now have three more points

West Brom gave City a brief scare when Graham Dorrans scored a superb solo effort, but Martin Demichelis restored the Citizens’s two-goal advantage before half-time.
City travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday and will play their final game in hand against Aston Villa on 7 May, and Pellegrini doesn’t believe much has changed following Tuesday night’s win.
On the win, Pellegrini said: “I think we made a very good first 45 minutes. We scored three goals and had more chances to score.”
Before adding on the title race: “It’s exactly the same but we now have three more points.
“We always talk with the players that if Liverpool win their three matches and win 14 in a row they will be champions. But our duty is to try to win the games and in that way Liverpool can feel pressure.
“We have to do our work and our work is to win our games.”
