David Moyes insists that Manchester United will have no trouble attracting top talent to the club in the summer without Champions League football on offer.

The Red Devils crashed out of Europe’s elite club competition at the quarter-final stage on Wednesday after a 4-2 aggregate defeat by Bayern Munich.

We’ve always been looking to spend the right money on the right players that are available

With United seventh in the table, Moyes’s side are set to miss out on qualification for next season’s competition.

But the Scot insisted that the club will have the funds required to strengthen his squad – and hinted that they have already made informal approaches to a number of players.

“The club have never had any problem – anything we’ve talked about at all, they’ve always been looking to spend the right money on the right players that are available,” said Moyes.

“It’s nothing to do with Champions League football. Any players that we’ve quietly discussed it with, I think they’re more than happy to join Manchester United.

“The ones who have quietly had somebody have a word in their ear [about joining United] have all been keen to come because they know it won’t be a long thing [out of the Champions League]. They’re all very keen to join such a great club.”
