Ozil, Bendtner and more: Twitter reacts as Arsenal beat West Ham
Mesut Özil and Nicklas Bendtner both tweet their thoughts as Arsenal come from behind to beat West Ham 3-1

Arsenal moved back into fourth place in the Premier League after a relatively comfortable 3-1 victory over West Ham at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud scored either side of half-time to overturn the lead the Hammers had taken through Matt Jarvis, before the Germany international rifled home a second to wrap up the win.
The only Premier League game of the night prompted plenty of activity on Twitter – and here are our favourite updates, in chronological order.
Injured Arsenal playmaker Mesut Özil is getting ready for the game and updates his Facebook page: “today is the day! we need the three points. come on Gunners, let’s win the derby! #AFCvWHU #COYG”
Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) is quick to criticise Giroud after a slow start: “Giroud running around the wing like a headless escargot. Absurd. Get back in the bloody middle. You’re supposed to be centre forward. And when you get to the middle, shoot with your proper foot. Jeez. #Giroud #Escargot”
Golfer and Arsenal fan Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) is not impressed as Giroud misses a good first-half chance: “Are you kidding over a £100K a week and you can’t hit it with your right foot. Come on….”
Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner (@bendtnerb52) issues a half-time rallying cry: “Come on Arsenal! 45min to go”
Blackpool man Andy Keogh (@andykeogh16) highlights one of Arsenal’s many notable absentees: “Arsenal miss Walcott pace massively!!!”
Former Gunners striker John Hartson (@JohnHartson10) is the first to lavish praise on Giroud after his superb touch and shot gives Arsenal the lead: “Magnificent touch and finish from giroud..”
Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara (@chris_kammy) chimes in: “Giroud with a good finish for Arsenal a great first touch & a lovely strike”
Ex-Norway international Jan Aage Fjortoft (@JanAageFjortoft) gives his view on the goal: “Giroud’s first touch at his goal was WorldClass! If any other player did it Twitter would have gone crazy….”
As does former Arsenal defender Viv Anderson (@Anderson_Viv): “Great touch by Giroud to give @Arsenal the lead #AFCvWHU”
Meanwhile, Morgan (@piersmorgan) is feeling sarcastic: “Always rated him. #Giroud”
Midfielder Aaron Ramsey (@aaronramsey) is delighted to be back in action: “Great to be back on the Emirates pitch and a good win (unless you’re @robthechefAFC, who’s a West Ham fan!)”
And finally, Özil (@MesutOzil1088) pays tribute to his team-mates after they take a step towards Champions League qualification: “Thanks guys. Keep on running. #gunners #premierleague”
