Norwich 2 Liverpool 3: Luis Suarez calls for ‘calm’ after nervy win
Norwich 2 Liverpool 3: Luis Suárez calls for calm ahead of clash against Chelsea next Sunday after beating Canaries
Luis Suarez urged Liverpool to remain calm ahead of their clash against Chelsea next weekend after a nervy victory over Norwich City on Sunday.
The Reds looked set to capitalise on the Blues’s 2-1 loss to Sunderland on Saturday after Raheem Sterling put the visitors ahead inside four minutes before teeing up Suarez seven minutes later.

However, the Canaries fought back and Gary Hooper finished from close range after Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet failed to claim a cross into his area in the 54th minute.
Sterling, who has been nominated for the PFA’s young player of the year award, restored Liverpool’s two-goal advantage, but Robert Snodgrass cut the deficit to one goal to ensure a tense final 13 minutes.
“We are happy because the three points were important, we worked very hard and they (Norwich) were fighting to not go down,” Suarez told BBC Sport.
Suarez, who had scored 10 goals in his last four Premier League games against Norwich City ahead of Sunday’s clash, took his tally to 30 goals in 30 Premier League games this season at Carrow Road.
But the Uruguay international played down his feat as he bids to beat Andy Cole and Alan Shearer’s record of 34 top-flight goals in a season, stressing the importance of three points ahead of a tough clash at Chelsea next Sunday.
“It’s important for myself but the team is top and that is the priority,” Suarez added.
